About Compress PDF for Email

Email services commonly limit attachments to somewhere between 10 and 25 MB, and the message as a whole is larger than the file itself. This preset targets 10 MB to leave room for encoding overhead.

How to use it

  1. Select your PDFs, or drag them onto the drop area.
  2. Keep the 10 MB target or set your mail provider’s limit.
  3. Compress and download, then attach the new file.

Your file stays on your device

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is read from your device, processed in memory, and saved back to your device — it is never uploaded to QPDF or anyone else. Once this page has loaded, the tool also works with your internet connection switched off.

Good to know

  • Attachments grow by roughly a third when sent by email, so aim below your provider’s stated limit.
