About Flatten PDF

Flattening merges form answers, comments and stamps into the page content so they display the same everywhere and can no longer be edited.

How to use it

  1. Select your PDFs, or drag them onto the drop area.
  2. Choose what to flatten.
  3. Flatten and download.

Your file stays on your device

This tool runs entirely in your browser. Your file is read from your device, processed in memory, and saved back to your device — it is never uploaded to QPDF or anyone else. Once this page has loaded, the tool also works with your internet connection switched off.

Good to know

  • Flattened forms can no longer be filled in. Keep a copy of the fillable original.
  • Flattening does not remove text hidden under annotations. Use Redact PDF for that.
